My Laps
New To the FCV - Electronic Fitness and Timing System
We now have an electronic fitness and timing system available at the FCV. You can get each of your lap times down to 1/1000 of a second with a transponder chip. See your fastest lap and how many laps you have completed in a session from online at our site.
Transponders are $100 for those holding full club memberships. Those who race will require a transponder. Transponder rentals are $30/night. If you purchase one, you own it for life.
Our electronic fitness and timing system is from AMB. The system includes free online review of your times either from this page or directly from www.mylaps.com.

Registering your transponder chip
Note You need to register your chip in order to see a complete breakdown of your lap times (something you can't see from this page).
Once you have received your chip, make a note of your transponder number (you will need this later and it is hard to read once the chip has been attached). Attach the chip to the fork just above the hub with the supplied tie.
Then surf to http://www.mylaps.com/ and click on the link "racer" in the "Member Login" box in the upper left.
On the next page enter your personal data in the "Register at Mylaps.com"
Select "Bicycle Racing" as the Sport and enter your nick name and your transponder number.
Once you have completed the form an email is sent to the email address you supplied.
Check for an email from register@mylaps.com and click on the link in the email to activate your account.
This will log you into the site automatically this time. Click on "account settings" (in the navigation area on the left under your username) and verify that your transponder number has been correctly registered. If it does not appear, click on "register a new transponder" and follow the instructions. When you log into the site in the future you will need to use your username and password you created.
Your results, training times and settings can be accessed from the sites nav area on the left under your username.
Note that before your times can appear, your session leader has to start the timing system at the start of your session and then download the information after the session ends. If you run into any problems with registering or obtaining your times, please contact Lorne
