Closing 0. Turn off the furnace at least 30 min before your session ends. 1. Close the Orbits program and shut off the computer. 2. Cross to the visitor’s side of the track and turn off the floodlight and the sign above the visitor tunnel. 3. Cross to the home side and turn off the sign above the tunnel. Go up into the gondola and turn off the ceiling fans. Unplug the floodlights. 4. Check the washrooms in the change rooms. 5. Wind the aircraft cables around the exit doors opposite the tunnel and secure. 6. Starting at the doors opposite the change rooms, walk counterclockwise around the building, checking that each entry door is secure. 7. As you pass through the electrical room turn off the heater fans. 8. As you pass the light switch, turn off the track lights and the perimeter lights. 9. If the overnight temperature will be over -10, turn off the circulating pump. 10. Empty any buckets you pass that are more than half full. If you notice drips, try to place buckets underneath them. 11. As you pass the handicapped washrooms, check inside that there are no leaks. On very cold nights, flush the toilets and run the taps for a few seconds. 12. Do the same in the main washrooms. Ensure that all toilets are flushed and repair if not functional. The most common problem is stuck floats, meaning the tank will not fill to flush. The second most common problem is plugged toilets. Plungers should be in the utility room. 13. On very cold nights ensure that the circulating pumps in the boiler room and the main men’s washroom are on. 14. Latch the main entry door. 15. Turn off the hallway and parking lot lights. 16. Set the alarm and exit the building within 30 seconds. |
