Start Gate The start gate and the countdown timer use lead acid batteries. Like car batteries, these batteries must be kept fully charged. Do not leave the gate or the timer turned on! (They are on when the “|” side of the button is pressed down.) Plug them in after each use. Do not unplug them unless you are sure they have been fully charged and that they are not turned on. Plug in at least once a week for a day or so when not in use. Someone must stand on the start gate whenever a rider is climbing on their bike or getting ready to set off. The gate is not heavy enough to hold a rider on its own. Use of the start gate is time consuming. Follow these steps to get people through as quickly as possible. NEXT |
