2009 Race Calendar
Racing is on selected Saturday nights and starts at 7 PM. However, certain special events are planned for other days of the week.
Please note that to ensure the safety of all, no rider will be allowed to race in a mass start race without first having completed a minimum numbers of laps on the Forest City Velodrome. This requirement may be waived for experienced track riders who can demonstrate their ability to hold a straight line and their knowledge of track etiquette. Such riders will still need to arrive at the track early enough to participate in a track orientation session.
Riders must sand the shine off any new slick (treadless) tires (80-grit sandpaper stapled to a block of wood works well).
Please check the web site regularly for updates.
For more information about any of these events, contact Rob Good by email at ForestCityVelodrome@live.com.

FCV Speedfest 2010

Riders will use this race night to get the speed back in their legs after spending time down south over the winter.
Events will include: "Thunder Pro Cycling Series Tournament, Miss & Out, Endurance races and "A" & "B" Madisons.
In an effort to add some spectator appeal to the qualifying procedure for speed events, riders will have 3 minutes to set their fastest time and advance into the "Thunder Pro Cycling Series". The total number of riders entered in the event will be split into 4 groups. Each group of 8-12 riders will be given time to complete their qualification efforts.
The quickest 18 riders will advance into the "Thunder Pro Cycling Series" Tournament where $500.00 per event will be on the line. More information about the "Thunder Pro Cycling Series at FCV" will be announced in the next few days.
